Legacy of African American Business
February 28, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
In honor of Black History Month, Wintrust Financial Corp is celebrating the success of African-American owned businesses across the city. As a locally owned and operated company, Wintrust is proud to bring Chicago’s diverse communities and business leaders together to celebrate their success.
The theme, Learn from Local Leaders who are Building Future Leaders and Creating Jobs to Grow our Local Economies is a tribute to African-American businesses that have excelled in Chicago and abroad. Our panel will share advice for building your own brand, the lessons and challenges that come with it, and how you can blaze a trail for others to follow. Invited business owners include Kamau Murray, Chris-Tia Donaldson, Cornelius Griggs, and Fabian Elliott.
The event will be held at Wintrust Grand Banking Hall, 231 S. LaSalle St. in Chicago, on February 28 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event is in partnership with several local organizations. Our event chair and panel moderator will be Sandee Kastrul. She is the president and co-founder of i.c.stars, an innovative nonprofit leadership and technology training program founded in 1999. And TBTNews is extremely proud to be the participating media partner.
Wintrust was built to provide personalized financial solutions for each unique geographic area or industry we cover. We bring it home, wherever we are, by investing in, giving back to, and getting to know the communities and people we serve. Wintrust is proud to bring Chicago’s leaders together to share their success stories. We invite you to network with us so we can all grow together.
